NEW TO F3

Welcome, friendly new guy [FNG].

READY FOR YOUR FIRST WORKOUT?

So, you’ve got past your excuses and you’ve decided to get off the couch and to give F3 a try? That is the first step to getting right and becoming the best version of yourself as a man.

There is one undeniable truth; men need authentic relationships with other men who are working to be strong fathers, husbands and leaders.

Isolation will destroy a man!

We have the opportunity to change our community and the trajectory of our families. Getting in the best shape of your life is just a by-product. The workout is what draws most men like a magnet but the relationships, brotherhood and community keeps men coming back.

F3 does not require membership and is open to ALL men of ALL physical abilities. If you want to push hard, go ALL OUT, but if you haven’t exercised in a long time, MODIFY. Don’t hurt yourself or even worse, get discouraged. Just show up, work hard and give it your best.

All you need to bring is yourself with an open mind and a positive attitude ready to get better. If you are not meeting a friend at your first workout, simply show up and introduce yourself as a new guy. You’ll be welcomed.

TIPS FOR YOUR FIRST WORKOUT

  1. When you are first starting, it is important to remember to MODIFY as needed during the workouts [beatdowns]. If you want to go harder – go harder. If you have not exercised in a long time, slow down. Don’t hurt yourself or even worse, get discouraged. Just show up, work hard and give it your best. That is all that matters. We are not here competing against one another. We are freaking proud of you for showing up at 5:30 in the morning to exercise!
  2. Read our disclaimer, then simply pick a place to post.
  3. Visit our Workouts page to see what site works best for you.
  4. Feel free to check out the Lexicon. We have a nick name for everything you do. The Lexicon will give you a definition behind our secret language.
  5. All you need to bring is an open mind and a positive attitude. Wear your regular outdoor workout clothes and, unless you have farmer hands, consider bringing a pair of gloves.
  6. If you are not meeting a friend at your first post, simply show up and introduce yourself as an FNG. You’ll be welcomed.

Top 5 Excuses To Not Show Up

No. 1: “I need to get in shape before coming to an F3 workout”

This is Excuse No. 1 on the F3 Hall of Fame chart. Let’s be honest: there’s nothing you can do solo—whether in the gym or jogging around the block—that’s going to perfectly prep you for your first F3 workout.

Saying, “I need to get in shape first” is just your brain’s way of keeping that commitment safely out of reach, always just over the horizon. The truth? The only way to get in shape is to jump in with a group of men who will push you, challenge you, and refuse to let you quit.

Our Credo says it best: “We leave no man behind, but we leave no man where we find him.” So stop procrastinating, get out there, and let the Pack pull you forward. You’ll be amazed at what you’re capable of when you stop waiting for “ready.”

Hey, that’s great! Gyms have their perks—like climate control, faux plants, and an endless loop of SportsCenter to keep you entertained while you log another treadmill session. But here’s the thing: gyms are comfortable, predictable, and, let’s face it, a little lonely.

Meanwhile, out in the real world, men are gathering in everything from freezing rain to blazing heat, pushing themselves and each other to grow stronger—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, too. There’s no treadmill setting for camaraderie, accountability, or the surge of adrenaline you get from finishing a tough workout alongside other guys giving it their all.

So sure, keep your gym membership if it works for you. But if you’re looking for something real, raw, and life-changing? You know where to find us.

Ah, yes—the “Lunch Hour Workout Guy” or maybe the “Evening Gym Warrior.” But let’s be honest: life always seems to throw a wrench in those plans. Your workday gets hectic, meetings run long, and suddenly it’s too late to fit in a workout. And by the time you’re free, it’s often too close to family time to do anything for yourself.

That’s why we work out early. By getting up before the world wakes up, you’re not sacrificing family time—you’re getting your workout in while everyone’s still sleeping. You’re doing hard things, pushing yourself to be stronger, healthier, and better for your loved ones. It’s a win for you and your family, and the best part? You’re already done with your workout before the day has even fully begun.

That’s great! Personal trainers can definitely help you get to the next level. But here’s the thing: F3 offers more than just a workout—it’s an experience. You get the same level of accountability and push, but with a group of guys who are all working to improve themselves, just like you. And here’s the kicker: we’re not charging you for it. F3 is 100% free.

So, if you’re looking for a place where you can get fit, form lasting relationships, and be part of something bigger than just your workout routine, we’ve got you covered. The best part? You don’t need to pay a dime.

We get it, the idea of a group of men gathering regularly to work on themselves might sound a little unconventional, but it’s not about creating a “cult”—it’s about building real connections and lifting each other up. Back in the day, men came together for common causes: to improve themselves, their communities, and to lead with purpose. It was simply called civic engagement.

In a world where we’re increasingly isolated and disconnected, choosing to show up for something bigger than yourself might feel a little different—but that doesn’t make it a cult. It’s a brotherhood, a commitment to growth, and a reminder that we’re stronger together. So, if standing together and striving to be better men is “cultish,” then we’re proudly standing firm in that tradition.
